Tingkat keberlanjutan alat penangkapan ikan cakalang (Katsuwonus pelamis) skala tradisional di perairan Selat Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan
Abstract
Fenomena menurunnya kondisi stok ikan selain dipengaruhi oleh intensitas penangkapan yang tinggi, juga tingkat keberlanjutan teknologi penangkapan ikan yang dipergunakan. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis tingkat keberlanjutan alat penangkapan ikan cakalang tradisional di perairan Selat Makassar. Data berkaitan 14 parameter keberlanjutan teknologi penangkapan ikan dalam CCRF dikumpulkan saat kegiatan penangkapan ikan dan wawancara dari April 2017 – Nopember 2018. Hasil penelitian bahwa capaian 14 parameter keberlanjutan alat penangkapan ikan yang diamati yaitu pancing tonda layangan, pancing tangan, rawai tegak dan bandrong cakalang hampir sama kecuali pada dampak teknologi terhadap habitat dan persentase ikan layak tangkap. Sebanyak 12 parameter mengindikasikan empat alat tangkap tersebut berkelanjutan dan dua parameter kurang berkelanjutan yaitu keuntungan usaha dan penggunaan tenaga kerja. Kesimpulan bahwa empat alat penangkapan ikan cakalang skala tradisional yaitu pancing tangan, pancing tonda layangan, rawai tegak dan bandrong cakalang dikategorikan sebagai alat penangkapan ikan berkelanjutan.
