Biologi Reproduksi Gurita, Octopus cyanea Gray, 1948 di Perairan Selat Makassar dan Teluk Bone
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis biologi reproduksi gurita, Octopus cyanea Gray, 1849yang didaratkan di Pulau Bonetambung, Kota Makassar, dan di Pulau Burung Lohe, Kabupaten Sinjai. Kajian penelitian ini mencakup nisbah kelamin,tingkat kematangan gonad (TKG), ukuran pertama kali matang gonad, dan indeks kematangan gonad (IKG). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan sejak bulan April hingga Juli 2019. Sampel gurita hasil tangkapan nelayan dari kedua lokasi penelitian dibawa ke laboratorium untuk diukur panjang totalnya (TL, total length), ditimbang bobot tubuhnya (BW, body weight), dan dilanjutkan dengan pengamatan gonad secara visual untuk mengetahui jenis kelamin gurita tersebut. Nisbah kelamin gurita jantan dan betina di P. Bonetambung adalah 2,00:1,00, sedangkan di P. Burung Lohe adalah 1,00:1,44. Gurita betina matang gonad lebih banyak ditemukan selama penelitian dibandingkan gurita jantan di P. Bonetambung. Sebaliknya, gurita jantan matang gonad lebih banyak ditemukan daripada gurita betina di P. Burung Lohe. Gurita jantan matang gonad pada ukuran yang lebih kecil daripada gurita betina pada kedua lokasi penelitian. Nilai IKG gurita jantan di P. Bonetambung berkisar 0,2829-2,7532 dan gurita betina 0,0348-3,1267. Kisaran nilai IKG gurita jantan di P. Burung Lohe adalah 0,4726-2,2254 dan gurita betina 1,1153-3,3597. Secara umum, rerata IKG berdasarkan TKG gurita betina lebih besar daripada gurita jantan, baik di P. Bonetambung maupun di P.
