SINTESIS HIJAU NANOPARTIKEL PERAK (AgNP) MENGGUNAKAN EKSTRAK DAUN SERAI (Cymbopogon citratus) SEBAGAI BIOREDUKTOR

Sintesis hijau Nanopartikel perak (AgNP) adalah proses reduksi ion Ag+ menjadi Ag0 dengan menggunakan senyawa bioaktif tanaman. Proses sintesis hijau dinilai lebih aman, ramah lingkungan, dan ekonomis, sedangkan proses sintesis kimia-kimia diikuti oleh hasil samping yang menyebabkan toksisitas dan pencemaran lingkungan. AgNP berpotensi dimanfaatkan di berbagai bidang dengan sifat, bentuk, dan fungsi AgNP yang dipengaruhi selama proses sintesis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi reaksi yang optimal dalam proses sintesis hijau yang menggunakan ekstrak etanol daun serai. Adapun metode sintesis hijau dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan preparasi terhadap kondisi pH ekstrak, yaitu kondisi yang dapat membentuk AgNP segera ketika sintesis berjalan, selanjutnya pH dipilih untuk digunakan pada tahap optimalisasi konsentrasi Ag dan ekstrak, dan waktu kontak yang dievaluasi melalui monitoring puncak SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) UV-Vis antara 400-500 nm selama 2 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa AgNP terbentuk pada reaksi antara ekstrak etanol konsentrasi 5% pH 12 dan Ag 2 mM pada menit ke 15 dengan nilai SPR pada 403 nm, panjang gelombang UV-Vis selama 2 hari cenderung stabil antara 400-403 nm tetapi jumlah Absorbansi menunjukan adanya indikasi ketidakstabilan pada larutan AgNP yang dimonitoring sehingga perlu pertimbangan agen penstabil agar tidak terjadi aglomerasi
