Kajian Potensi dan Prospek Pengembangan Pariwisata Halal di Kota Makassar

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential and prospects for developing halal tourism in Makassar City and formulate a strategy for developing halal tourism in Makassar City. This research is qualitative and quantitative. This study uses primary data obtained through observation and interviews, and questionnaires. In addition, this study also uses secondary data The findings from this study indicate that the perception of tourists regarding the readiness of Makassar City for halal tourism, namely from the aspect of the tourist attraction of Makassar City, most of the respondents tend to state that they are in good condition and get a good category scoring. Likewise, it is seen from the aspects of halal tourism accommodation in Makassar, food, and beverage business providers in Makassar, halal travel agents in Makassar, and accessibility, that overall, respondents tend to answer well and score in the good category. However, the government still needs to fix several things, such as making regulations governing halal tourism in the city of Makassar and providing support to business actors providing food and lodging to hold halal certificates for their businesses. The condition of halal tourism in Makassar City is analyzed using a SWOT to produce a strategy that supports the development of halal tourism in Makassar City.
